Wow 6hrs sleep that has to be the best sleep I have had in some time, yes I got up 4times during those 6hrs but I am impressed I had 6hrs sleep.
I can’t recall the last time I had a good night sleep where it was undisturbed due to Endometriosis, which impacts in various ways, pain is the main element which I struggle to get comfortable. However along with pain, I also struggle with constant urge to pee, which can be up to 20 times a night up and down which is so frustrating.
I have forgotten what it feels like to sleep lying down as I have to lie at an angle, half way between lying down and sitting up. This is the only position I can get comfortable with 2 hot water bottles either side where I need to position them to help with easing my pain in my pelvis and back. Due to this I have to sleep with the window open to stop me overheating. I am lucky that my partner truly understands and is supportive of this disease and what I have to do to get through each day and night. We have a routine for bedtime which starts with ‘I am tired I am going to bed’ and automatically he is up to do my hot water bottles.
Let’s see what tonight brings, good or bad, sleep is overrated.
